What Are the Best German Eyeglasses Frames Brands?

Many eyeglass frames are manufactured in Germany. There are very large suppliers who specialize in the mass market and those who offer a very individual service.

When it comes to individuality are no limits. There are even still companies where the master sits down with you and based on your wishes and his experience makes a pair of glasses just for you individually.

Just such companies I wanted to mention here, because these do not necessarily have an online store but the craftsmanship alive.

For each manufacturer from Germany I have added some short information to give you a better overview. You decide what the best german eyeglasses frames brands are. Some of them are really small while others expanded globally.

Coco Leni

In 1946, a small workshop was founded in Annaberg-Buchholz, located in the east of Germany, which produced handmade custom glasses from buffalo horn and Italian acetate.

East German products may not have been considered particularly chic or fashionable, but their workmanship meant they lasted much longer, making them a sustainable and environmentally friendly make even at that time.

Matthias Haase, an eyewear maker with over 30 years of experience, and Arjun Sagar had a vision to revive the handmade custom eyewear of yesteryear.

In 2015, the two renamed this small workshop and thus created COCO LENI.

The proven concept remained the same: The glasses are made using traditional craftsmanship with durable riveted German hinges and selected natural materials to last a lifetime
